Giri is a renowned host and accomplished author, known for his significant contributions to the quiz landscape in India and beyond. Since 2004, he has been the primary host of the prestigious Tata Crucible business quiz series, which has become a cornerstone event for both corporate professionals and college students nationwide.

His expertise extends to hosting several prominent national quiz competitions, including:

  • The TCS InQuizitive (formerly TCS IT Wiz), recognised as India’s leading inter-school information technology quiz
  • The RBI Quiz
  • Thomas Cook’s Travel Quest
  • His quiz hosting career spans an impressive international footprint, with events conducted across major global locations, including India, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Throughout his career, Giri has orchestrated over 2,000 quiz shows, establishing himself as a leading figure in the quiz and knowledge entertainment domain. His multiple quiz books further underscore his depth of knowledge and commitment to intellectual discourse.

Rashmi Furtado

Rashmi is a well-known educator and presently the only professional woman quiz host in Asia. She has hosted over 1,500 quiz shows across 60 cities in India, and overseas in Kuwait, Singapore and Dubai.

A recipient of several awards, including a Business World 40 under 40 listing, the Women Economic Forum and Quiz Host of the year 2022 by SMX Business Networks.

She is known for hosting quiz shows for the Reserve Bank of India, Tata Crucible, the Union Bank Quiz, TCSION IntelliGem, the Rural IT Quiz, BPCL and Mindtree, to name a few.

Rashmi is a proud alumnus of NIT-K Surathkal and IIM Calcutta and currently serves as President - New Initiatives at Greycaps India.

Competition Guidelines

Eligibility and Team Composition

  • Participation is open to full-time Corporate Employee, and Engineering, MBA, UG Students and PG students.
  • Each team must comprise of 2 participants.
  • Of the eight finalist teams, six positions are reserved for corporate teams and two for student teams.
  • All team members must be affiliated with the same organisation or educational institution.
  • Each participant may join only one team.
  • Individual participation is not permitted.
  • Organisations and institutions may register multiple teams.
  • ⁠Corporate team members need to be from the same organisation in the same city in Karnataka, Kerala or Goa.
  • Team composition is final following the completion of the preliminary round.

Rules and Regulations

  • The use of mobile phones, laptops, tablets, or any electronic devices during the competition is strictly prohibited.
  • Violations of the electronic device policy will result in immediate disqualification.
  • All participants must present valid organisational or institutional photo identification at the venue.
  • Participation will be denied without proper identification.
  • Travel and accommodation for outstation participants will not be reimbursed.

Rewards

  • The total value of the prizes in the AccuMind Corporate Quiz is worth up to ₹ 2,50,000*
  • Winning Team: ₹ 1,00,000* + 1 room for each team member for one night (couple stay with breakfast) at Gateway Bekal.
  • 1st Runner up Team: ₹ 50,000*
  • 2nd Runner up Team: ₹ 25,000*

Event Details

  • Preliminary round: Starts at 3.30 pm, August 8th at the Ballroom, Vivanta Mangaluru.
  • There will be 20 questions in the preliminary round of the quiz, and the total time to attempt them is 20 minutes.
  • Finals: 6.00 pm, August 8th at the Ballroom, Vivanta Mangaluru
  • Venue: Vivanta, Old Port Road, Mangalore

Media and Venue Policies

  • By entering the venue and participating in the quiz, attendees consent to being photographed, filmed, or recorded for broadcast, publication, and promotional purposes by the organisers.
  • Food and beverages are not permitted within the competition venue.

Administrative Provisions

  • The organising committee reserves the right to communicate event-related information to registered teams as necessary.
  • The organisers maintain full discretion to modify event details, including format, schedule, rules, and related matters, at any time.
  • All decisions made by the organising committee and Quizmaster are final and binding.
  • No appeals or correspondence regarding event decisions will be entertained.
